Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

With an hour and fifty-six minute delay before starting followed by a nearly three hour game, the Lookouts comeback fell short as the stroke of midnight rang out with fireworks and a 6-4 loss in Birmingham. The Barons captured the series with their third consecutive win. With the tying runs on, a called third strike on Edgar Corcino ended the late night adventure. The Lookouts fell behind early and trailed 6-1 after the fifth inning. The eleven hit night could not produce the runs needed. Brent Rooker accounted for three hits including a double and a triple while Brian Naverreto added two of his own with Zandwer Wiel chipping in a pair of singles. Anthoiny Marzi took the loss. Sunday the same two meet as the Lookouts have a pitcher to be named and the Barons go with LHP-Ian Clarkin. Air time on 96.1 is set for 7:15 WEDT and at MiLB.com.
