MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (26-29) clinched the series win, defeating the Jackson Generals (30-24), 3-2, Saturday on Flight Night at Riverwalk Stadium. Montgomery starting pitcher Eduar Lopez (4-2) won his third consecutive start with five innings of two-run baseball.

Lopez, despite allowing a career-high six bases on balls, escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first inning. The right-hander induced a pop out of Marcus Littlewood following three two-out walks.

Montgomery jumped on Jackson starter Taylor Widener (3-3). Thomas Milone, who was batting lead-off for the first time this season, roped a triple to start the threat. Nathan Lukes scored Milone on an infield single, thrusting the Biscuits ahead, 1-0.

However, the Generals charged forward in the fourth. Littlewood singled on a ground ball to begin the barrage. Galli Cribbs then doubled, placing runners on second and third for third baseman Jose Vinicio. Vinicio tied the game on an RBI-groundout prior to David Sopilka seizing the lead with an RBI-single.

The Biscuits responded in the bottom of the fourth. Ryan Boldt drove home Lukes on an RBI-double for his 12th RBI in 11 games.

With a 3-2 advantage, Lopez hurled a scoreless fifth before handing over the ball to Curtis Taylor. Montgomery's reliever frustrated the Generals. The 22-year old stranded three base runners and struck out four in four innings. Taylor retired the top of Jackson's order in the ninth to close the five-game homestand with a victory.

Montgomery begins a five-game road trip against the Mississippi Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Biscuits will start J.D. Martin (3-7), looking to extend Montgomery's winning streak to three games. Mississippi is scheduled to start Atlanta Braves' number two prospect Kyle Wright (3-5).

The Biscuits return to Riverwalk Stadium on Friday, June 8, as they welcome the Chattanooga Lookouts for Ladies Night and MAX Fireworks. The series also includes Harry Potter Night, featuring a jersey auction and MAX Fireworks, on Saturday, June 9, as well as Sundae Sunday Ice Cream Social on June 10. The five-game set concludes with Agriculture Night on Monday, June 11, and Summer Splash Day on Tuesday, June 12.
