Lions add free agent defensive back A.J. Jefferson (Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club today announced that international free agent defensive back A.J. Jefferson has signed a 2018 contract with the team.
Jefferson (6'0", 190) is set to enter his fourth CFL season having spent a portion of the 2017 campaign with Ottawa preceded by a pair of seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. Seeing action in 32 regular season games he's tallied 95 career tackles and six interceptions.
"A.J. is another veteran defensive back who brings a lot of tools to our team," said GM Ed Hervey. "He's a skilled guy who understands the nuances of the corner position in our league. He's also demonstrated the ability to make plays on the ball which is something we definitely more of this season."
