Lincoln Media Taking to Haymarket Park for Saturday Softball Challenge

LINCOLN, NE - The media personalities you see and hear on networks across Lincoln are taking the field at Haymarket Park for a Celebrity Softball game this Saturday.
The Lincoln Media Softball Challenge will start at 5:00 PM and last until 6:15 PM. The Saltdogs host the Sioux Falls Canaries for a game beginning at 7:05 PM Saturday night. Gates will open at 4:30 PM for softball and tickets for the Saltdogs game are valid for admission to both games.
Media members from Alpha Media, Broadcast House, the Lincoln Journal Star, Channel 8 KLKN-TV and more will be participating in the event. Some of the participants include radio personalities Matt McKay, Chris Schmidt, Jack Mitchell and Harper Davis. TV reporters Andrew Ward and Jason Taylor will get in on the action with Saltdogs beat writer Tim Gray playing as well. The game will feature a guest appearance from Nebaraska Baseball Head Coach Darin Erstad!
The media game is a special bonus to Military Appreciation Weekend. Active and former military members will get free admission to all three weekend games and their families will get half-price tickets.
