Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (65-41) play Game 2 of a five-game, four-day series against the Buffalo Bisons (47-55) at Coca-Cola Field, where the Pigs have won all four meetings this season... With a 2-0 victory last night, the Pigs returned to their season high-water mark and extended their lead to a franchise-record 8.5 games in the North. Lehigh Valley has won eight of its last 10 games and 17 of its last 22 contests and owns a 36-15 record since June 3... The Bisons -- Toronto's top affiliate -- have now lost four-consecutive contests to the Pigs dating back to July 13. In addition, Buffalo has lost eight of its last 10 affairs and is just 13-27 over its last 40 contests since June 19... Lehigh Valley swept the first meeting in Buffalo -- a rain-shortened two-game series from June 22-23.
LHP Ranger Suarez (1-0, 0.57) will start for LHV against RHP Nick Tepesch (1-5, 6.46).
First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m.
The teams next play a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 5:35 p.m.
