Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronRail Series continues as the first-place IronPigs (45-32) play the finale of a four-game series against the Scranton/WB (37-39) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 4-2 win last night, the Pigs have now posted a 16-6 record in their last 22 affairs. In addition to returning to their high-water mark of 13 games above .500, the Pigs also passed Toledo (44-33) for the best record in the IL. Lehigh Valley maintained its season-high, 6.0-game lead on the North Division... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- has dropped five of six games at Coca-Cola Park this season, as well as 10 of their last 11 dating back to July 9, 2017. Still, the RailRiders have gone 11-7 since dropping to a low-water mark at 26-32 on June 7. Next up for the Pigs is a three-games series in Rochester.
RHP Tom Eshelman (1-6, 6.68) will start for LHV against LHP Nestor Cortes (1-3, 4.23).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
