June 28, 2018 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release
The Syracuse Chiefs are hosting the largest Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza in NBT Bank Stadium history and the biggest fireworks show in Central New York after their July 4th game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. with the fireworks show to follow, all presented by Toyota. The Fourth of July Extravaganza at NBT Bank Stadium features a rally towel giveaway, gates opening early, and it is a Winning Wednesday with Baseball Bingo.
Because of the large crowd expected at this year's July 4th game, just like in previous years, it is recommended that people planning on attending come to the ballpark as early as they can. Gates will be open at 5:30 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a special Syracuse Chiefs rally towel, presented by Toyota. Fans attending Wednesday's Chiefs game and fireworks show should be aware that no outside food or drink will be permitted into the stadium. In addition, all bags are subject to search upon entry. More information about the stadium's rules and policies can be found at syracusechiefs.com.
The Chiefs have partnered with the Syracuse Police Department to help the flow of traffic both before the game and after the game to coordinate a smooth parking situation at NBT Bank Stadium.
The Fourth of July is also a Winning Wednesday, presented by The Score 1260. If the Chiefs win, you win. All fans can exchange their ticket for any remaining home game in the 2018 season if the Chiefs win on Wednesday. Plus, Baseball Bingo, presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, is back by popular demand. Fans play to win glamorous prizes throughout the game and win big at the ballpark.
Due to continued sellouts in past years for Fourth of July games at NBT Bank Stadium and the high demand this season, the Chiefs recommend that fans who want to come to the game buy tickets as soon as possible to make sure they don't miss out on this fun, exciting event and celebration of Independence Day. Tickets can be purchased in advanced online at syracusechiefs.com, and fans can print tickets at home using the "print at home" option. Tickets as always are also available in advance at the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office or by calling 315-474-7833.
While securing your tickets for July 4th, why not add a return trip to the stadium on July 5th, another Dollar Thursday with the chance to dig for diamonds on the diamond! Three medallions will be buried in the infield labeled 1, 2, and 3. Fans will be able to go on the infield after the game and dig for these medallions, and the fans that find each win the corresponding prize. The first-place prize is a pair of diamond earrings, approximately a half-carat each. The second prize is a necklace, and third prize is a voucher for Syracuse Chiefs gear. Fans must purchase a ticket for the game to participate. All diamonds will be donated courtesy of the Pawn King.
July 5th is also another Dollar Thursday, where fans can enjoy Hofmann Hot Dogs and Coca-Cola products for just $1 and draft Coors, Labatt, Saranac, and 1911 Hard Cider products for only $2. Game time is 7:05 p.m. against the IronPigs.
Tickets to the Fourth of July and July 5th at NBT Bank Stadium, as well as all remaining Chiefs home games in 2018, are available by calling 315-474-7833, by visiting the NBT Bank Stadium Ticket Office, or online at syracusechiefs.com.
