Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (42-52) play the finale of a four-game, road series against the first-place Rochester Red Wings (50-44) at Frontier Field... With a 4-2 win last night, the Pigs have won back-to-back games to go up in the series, 2-1... The surging Pigs have now won 13 of their last 17 affairs and 17 of their last 24 matchups with North opponents. In fact, Lehigh Valley is 20-10 in the last 30 contests since falling to their low-water mark (22-42) on June 14... The Red Wings -- Minnesota's top affiliate -- are still 13-8 over their last 21 contests since June 28. But the Wings are a more impressive 11-4 without their 2-4 mark against the Pigs during this span... The Pigs next return home for their first meeting of the season with Toledo (40-54), which has dropped five straight games and is just 5-11 in July.
RHP Severino Gonzalez (5-6, 4.38) will start for LHV against RHP Greg Peavey (0-4, 5.06).
