Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced today G Jean-Philippe Levasseur, D Stu Bickel and LW Kyle Calder have all been assigned to the club by the Ducks. They will join the Condors for Game 1 of the Kelly Cup Playoffs in their opening round match up with the Victoria Salmon Kings.
Levasseur, 23, has split the 2009-10 season between the Springfield Falcons (American Hockey League), Laredo Bucks (Central Hockey League) and the Condors. In five games with Bakersfield, Levasseur has a 2-3-0 record with a .903 save percentage and a 3.63 goals against average. With the Falcons he went 8-16-1 (.890, 3.59) while with Laredo, Levasseur compiled a 10-3-3 record (.919, 2.31). Last week he became the fifth player to both play for the Condors and also suit up with Anaheim this season, after being recalled by the big club, though he did not see game action.
Bickel, 23, is in his second professional season and began the campaign with the Condors. He posted 1g-11a-12pts in 22 games with Bakersfield before being reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). Bickel returned last week for two contests against the Stockton Thunder, recording another assist, before bouncing back to the Rampage for the weekend. He has 2g-2a-4pts in 36 AHL games this season.
Calder, 31, suited up for the Condors in five games back in November, posting 3g-3a-6pts and a +4 rating. He was recalled by the Ducks on Nov. 14 and moved up directly to the NHL, although he has spent most of the season with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. In 40 games with Toronto, Calder has 14g-16a-30pts, and he added two assists in 14 NHL games.
The Condors complete playoff roster will be announced early this week.
