Everett, WA - With a four goal deficit to overcome the Everett Silvertips made a strong effort to erase the Hurricanes lead, yet former Silvertip Kyle Beach would earn the game winning goal to hold off Everett, 5-4. Beach recorded three points (1G, 2A) in his return to Everett while Carter Ashton took the night's first star with one goal and one assist. The kid line of Tyler Maxwell (1G, 1A), Byron Froese (2A) and league leading rookie scorer Kellan Tochkin (1G, 1A) had a combined six points on the night. Kent Simpson played great in relief of Thomas Heemskerk making 21 saves on 22 shots despite picking up the loss. Mike Alexander and Shane Harper rounded out the scoring for Everett.

This brings the ‘Tips record to 22-24-7-2 with 53 points in 55 games played taking them to seventh place in the Western Conference. Everett stands four points behind fifth place Kamloops Blazers and 12 points behind fourth place Kelowna Rockets. The Silvertips are now 1-6-1-2 in their last 10 games. The Silvertips complete the last of their three game weekend Sunday night heading to Chiliwack to take on the bruins.

Kyle Beach wasted no time getting on the score sheet in his return to Everett Saturday night. Beach would record an assist on the game's first goal at 5 minutes and 23 seconds. Brennan Yadlowski found a rebound sitting in the slot and took the puck top shelf past a Thomas Heemskerk pad stack giving Lethbridge the early 1-0 lead. The Hurricanes fired again at 8:34 when Austin Fyten found a puck sitting on top of the crease and went to the backhand to beat Heemskerk under his blocker making the score 2-0. Beach recorded his second assist of the period lending a hand for a Carter Ashton turn around snap shot that found a way into the back of the net. The goal came at 19:38 and gave Lethbridge a commanding 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Three goals in four minutes and 13 seconds opened up play in the second period. Brody Sutter scored the first goal of the period at 2:56 to increase the Hurricane's lead to four. The goal called for Heemskerk to be pulled in favor of Kent Simpson. The change in goal would prove for a sudden response from the Silvertips. The next shift after the change in goal saw Mike Alexander getting Everett started at 3:10 with his fourth goal of the season. Trevor Bauer recorded his first career WHL point with an assist on the Alexander goal. 63 seconds later WHL league leading rookie scorer Kellan Tochkin potted his 15th goal of the season after firing a hard wrist shot from the right faceoff dot past Michael Tadjdeh, cutting their deficit to just two goals.

Beach recorded his third point of the game at 3:29 of the third period scoring his 20th goal of the season. A fanned shot by Beach would fool Simpson and leave him out of position for a second attempt shot that found the back of the net, making the score 5-2. Everett, refusing to quit, got right back to work 13 seconds later with Tyler Maxwell earning his 21st goal of the season picking up a rebound in front and making the score 5-3 in favor of Lethbridge. Shane Harper would take advantage of a 6 on 4 power play (Simpson being pulled gave Everett their sixth man), and put home a loose puck in the crease making the score 5-4 with 2:04 left to play. Everett nearly found the game tying goal on several occasions with an extra attacker, but it was not to be as Lethbridge held on for a 5-4 victory.
