
Legends Trample Bighorns' Home Streak

RENO, NV - The Texas Legends (18-18) put an end to a 13-game home winning streak for the Reno Bighorns (25-13) Wednesday night with a 135-124 victory.
The Legends got off to a quick 6-0 start, but the Bighorns responded with back-to-back baskets. Nine minutes in, the Legends had extended their lead to nine, but Reno went on a 12-1 run to take their first lead of the night at the one minute mark. Justin Martin and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. combined to regain the lead, and Tu Holloway finished the quarter with a long jumper to put the Legends up 39-35. Reggie Hearn started the second with a triple for the Bighorns but Holloway responded with another three of his own. The two teams exchanged baskets with six lead changes and five ties, but the Legends held onto a three-point edge at the half.
Holloway kicked off the second half with his third three pointer and the Legends jumped up to an eight-point advantage before Reno responded. The teams traded leads four more times before the Legends took their ultimate control. Douglas-Roberts finished the quarter with six points in three minutes and the Legends carried a nine-point lead going into the final minutes. Texas took their largest lead of the night (17) in the fourth behind a combined 16-point effort from Micheal Eric and Patrick Miller. With three minutes to play, Reno cut the deficit to three as former-Legend Ricky Ledo hit the free throw line. Holloway responded immediately to set the tone and the Legends sealed the victory with a 10-2 run for a season-high score.
Holloway finished the night 12-of-20 for 38 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals, while Eric added his fifth straight double-double of 22 points, 17 rebounds. Miller came off the bench for 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists and Douglas-Roberts tallied 18 points, 4 steals in his debut with the team.
Reno was led by Erick Green with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists while Kadeem Jack added 22 points, 3 rebounds off the bench. Ledo (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Gani Lawal (11 points, 11 rebounds) each added double-doubles.
