
Mad Ants Name McDonald's High School Basketball Players of the Month

FORT WAYNE, IN - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, and McDonald's have partnered to recognize two outstanding high school basketball players in the Fort Wayne community. In February, McDonald's and the Mad Ants selected Madisen Parker and Grant Prible as the McDonald's High School Players of the Month. Both players will be recognized at an upcoming Mad Ants home game.
Among his top performances in February, Bluffton High School senior Grant Prible hit the 30 point mark in the team's double overtime victory over Heritage High School earlier in the month. In the final regular season game of the season, Bluffton hosted Southwood High School, where Prible led all scorers with 26 points and 12 rebounds in route to his double-double. The Tigers finished the regular season portion of the month 3-3 heading into boys' sectional action. In Bluffton's first round of their hosted sectional, the team took down Woodlan High School 73-48, with Prible checking in for 21 points. Bluffton will move on to the semi-final round to play South Adams High School on Friday, March 4th at 7:30 p.m.
During the month of February, Homestead High School junior Madisen Parker received All-SAC First Team honors and an invite to play on the Indiana Girls' Junior All-Star Teams in June; that following a third consecutive sectional championship and second straight regional championship in the girls' state tournament. The Lady Spartans claimed the Sectional Championship earlier in the month, beating South Side High School, where Parker recorded 18 points in the victory. The team claimed the Regional Championship with a win over Carmel High School where Parker finished with 12 points. The Lady Spartans finished their season 26-3 after a semi-state loss to Penn. Parker has most recently verbally committed to Bowling Green State University where she will continue her basketball career after her upcoming senior season at Homestead.
