
Nuggets Sign Axel Toupane to 10-Day Contract

The Denver Nuggets announced Thursday they have signed Raptors 905 guard-forward Axel Toupane to a 10-day contract.
In 32 games with Raptors 905 this season (14 starts), Toupane is averaging 14.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 29.7 minutes. He has scored in double digits on 26 times, has led the team in bench scoring on 11 occasions and has recorded two double-doubles.
Prior to Raptors 905, Toupane attended Toronto Raptors 2015 training camp and participated with the Raptors' entry in NBA Summer League 2015 in Las Vegas, where he averaged 4.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 11.0 minutes in three games. The Mulhouse, France native spent the past four seasons (2011-15) with Strasbourg of the French Pro A League, winning the regular season championship in 2014 and 2015 and reaching the finals three times (2013-15).
Raptors 905 is back in action Thursday, March 3 when it plays host to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at Hershey Centre in Mississauga at 7:30 p.m.
