Texas Legends News Release
Frisco, TX DEC. 21, 2011 - With four additional players added to the roster this afternoon, the Texas Legends were able to outlast the Los Angeles D-Fenders. 114-108.
Booker Woodfox paced the Legends with 22 points, but it was the depth of the roster that brought home the win in Frisco. Six players scored 12 or more points, including Chris Roberts who provided 17 in his 2010-11 debut for Texas.
Los Angeles was led by Brandon Costner who poured in a game high 34 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds, and connecting on five of 10 from long-range. For Costner this is his fifth game to score 30-plus points, but once again it was in a losing effort as the D-Fenders are now 1-4 when Costner eclipses the mark.
Orien Greene had a stat stuffing night with 22 points, five assists, five rebounds, and a pair of threes, but supplied seven turnovers in the process.
The Legends' Ramon Dyer managed his fourth double-double of the season, tonight coming off the bench for 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Texas was on fire from deep as they made 16 of 28 from beyond the arc for 57.1%, but rebounding proved to be a tough task against the D-Fenders who won the battle of the boards 50-41.
Texas (3-8) and Los Angeles (8-5) stay put, as they'll watch tape and play once more on Friday at 7:00PM CST in Frisco.
