
JamesOn Curry and Jerry Smith Rejoin Armor

SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Springfield Armor announced today that guards JamesOn Curry and Jerry Smith have rejoined the team after stints in NBA training camp with the Armor's exclusive NBA affiliate, the New Jersey Nets. To make room on the roster, the Armor released Alejo Rodriguez and Marcus Hill.
Prior to joining the Nets, Curry was averaging18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 37.7 minutes through three games (all starts) with the Armor this season.
Smith was the Armor's leading scorer, averaging 20.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.0 minutes through three games (all starts).
Both players appeared in the Nets' Dec. 17 preseason game against the New York Knicks, with Curry tallying two points in three minutes and Smith scoring one point in three minutes of action.
Rodriguez appeared in four games with the Armor, averaging 1.3 points and 4.0 rebounds. Hill saw action in six games, averaging 1.2 points and 1.5 assists.
Springfield's roster now stands at 10. Curry and Smith will both be available for tonight's 8:00 PM EST game on the road against the Dakota Wizards.
