The Lexington Legends won their second straight game over the Rome Braves, 4-2 at Applebee's Park Wednesday.

Rome took the lead with a run in the top of the first inning, but Lexington catcher Federico Hernandez tied it with his third home run of the year leading off the bottom of the second.

The Legends took a 3-1 lead in the fourth. Ronnie Ramirez singled, and went to third on Albert Cartwright's double. Ramirez scored on Phil Disher's infield out. Hernandez then singled, driving in Cartwright from third.

Lexington continues to get outstanding pitching. Right-hander Henry Villar, making his second start of the year, worked three and two-thirds innings and struck out eight before being relieved by Arcenio Leon.

Rome scored a run off Leon without benefit of a hit in the fourth. L.V. Ware was hit by a pitch, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on an infield out.

The Legends added their final run in the fifth when Ebert Rosario doubled, stole third and scored with two out on an error by shortstop Samuel Sime to leave the score at 4-2.

Leon (1-0) pitched through the sixth and got the victory. Jose Trinidad worked the final three innings to earn his first save. Louisville native Richard Sullivan (4-1) went all the way for Rome and suffered his first defeat of the season.

The series continues at Applebee's Park with a 7:05 p.m. start Thursday night and will conclude with a 7:05 p.m. game Friday.
