Legends Take Down Toros in Austin

FRISCO, TX, (Dec. 5, 2013) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), traveled to Austin to face their in-state rivals, the Austin Toros. The Legends forged a balanced offensive attack overtaking the Toros 123-96 with six players scoring in the double digits.

The Legends took an early lead, going up 34-20 after the first quarter and increasing that to 73-51 at the half. The Toros managed to deplete the advantage to 12 in the third but never regained control. The fourth quarter saw an offensive outburst from the Legends with scoring from every member of the bench.

The Legends shot a season-high 52.7% and hit 55% from outside. Ricky Ledo and Melvin Ely led the Legends with 19 points apiece, while Mickey McConnell added 17 and 5 assists. Tre Kelley was the high-scorer for the Toros with 19 as well, while Courtney Fells posted the game's only double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
