Armor Activate Forward Marcus Hubbard

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Armor (0-3) have activated forward Marcus Hubbard prior to Friday night's game against the Idaho Stampede inside the MassMutual Center.

Hubbard, 29, was selected by the Armor in the third round (37th overall) of the 2013-14 NBA Development League draft. The 6-9 forward has played three seasons in the NBA D-League with six different teams including Rio Grande Valley, Dakota, Albuquerque, Reno, New Mexico and Austin. Hubbard also made stints overseas in Malaysia and has played in Venezuela. A two-time All-Lone Star first team selection at Angelo State, he was signed in 2011 by the Los Angeles Clippers, but was waived on December 22, 2011.

In a corresponding move, the Armor have deactivated guard/forward Quinn McDowell. McDowell has seen action in each of the first three games this season with Springfield including playing 10 minutes and scoring his first two points of the season in his last game against Canton (November 30).

Hubbard will wear #10. Attached is an updated roster.

The Armor open their home slate tonight at 7:00 p.m. inside the MassMutual Center with Opening Night, presented by MassMutual Financial Group. After Friday's game, the Armor will continue their home schedule on Sunday, December 8 at 3:00 p.m. against the Maine Red Claws, NBA Development League affiliate of the Boston Celtics.
