Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie BayHawks returned home from a brief two-game road trip to host the Iowa Energy on Friday night. Despite holding a large rebounding edge and shooting a higher field goal percentage, the BayHawks fell to Iowa by a final of 120-112.
The Energy got off to a hot start and took a four-point lead into the second quarter due in large part to eight points from both Patrick Christopher and Jarvis Varnado. Iowa grew their lead to nine with under four minutes remaining in the half before closed out the frame on a 15-2 run and took a four point lead into the intermission.
Erie led by nine in the third quarter when Jeremy Tyler knocked down a ten foot jumper but the Energy stormed back to take a one point lead into the final twelve minutes. Iowa controlled much of the fourth quarter as they shot 55% to close out the BayHawks by a final score of 120-112.
Erie out-rebounded Iowa by a total of 53-35 but the Energy outscored the BayHawks by 13 from the charity stripe and connected on five more three-pointers.

Leslie added 22 points and eight rebounds, Tyler finished with 20 points and nine rebounds and Ricky Davis chipped in with 17 points for the BayHawks.
