
Legends Grab Big Win over Vipers

HIDALGO, TX - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), evened the season series against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers with a big win on the road 146-131.
The Vipers kept it close through a 77-point first quarter that finished with the Legends holding a five-point lead. Texas outscored RGV 35-24 in the second behind five players hitting double-digits to total 76 points, 35 rebounds and a 16-point lead. The Legends' hot shooting continued with a 70-point second half, hitting 56% of their field goals on the night.
Seven Legends' players accumulated double-digit scores. PJ Hairston led all with 31 points while Ricky Ledo added 22 points and 13 boards. Mickey McConnell grabbed an additional double-double for the team with 19 points and 12 assists. The Vipers were paced by Troy Daniels with 29 points while Darius Morris and Tony Bishop added 18 each.
The Legends will face the Austin Toros on the road tomorrow, March 30th before traveling to Sioux Falls on April 4th and finishing out the season at home Saturday, April 5th. For tickets or information visit www.TexLegends.com.
