Lexington Legends News Release
The game between the Lexington Legends and the Savannah Sand Gnats in Savannah Sunday afternoon has been suspended due to rain.
The game was tied 5-5 after four innings. The game will be resumed at that point Monday afternoon at 5:35 p.m. Following the completion of the suspended game, a seven-inning game will be played.
Ryan O'Hearn hit his South Atlantic League-leading 17th home run for Lexington Sunday, and Elier Hernandez also homered for the Legends.
Saturday night's game was rained out, so the scheduled five-game series in Savannah will be reduced to four games. Plans to make up the fifth game will be announced later. The Sand Gnats are scheduled to play a five-game series in Lexington July 8-12. The Legends are not scheduled to return to Savannah this season.
