Comeback Lifts R-Braves

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Augusta GreenJackets Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium 6-4.

Augusta posted a run in the first on an RBI double by Dylan Davis but Rome took a 2-1 lead in the third. Erison Mendez cracked a sacrifice fly RBI and the second run crossed the plate on a throwing error. The GreenJackets regained the lead with three runs in the sixth on an RBI groundout by Brennan Metzger and a two run single by Johneshwy Fargas. Rome bounced right back in the bottom of the inning with four runs to grab the lead once again. Erison Mendez reached first on a throwing error and Tanner Murphy doubled him home for the first run of the frame. With Murphy at second, Braxton Davidson lined the ball in the gap allowing Murphy to score. Bryan De La Rosa reached first on a throwing error and Davidson crossed the plate for the third run. Connor Oliver then singled home De La Rosa giving the Braves a 6-4 advantage.
