
Left Wing Michael Holmqvist Assigned by Anaheim

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were assigned left wing Michael Holmqvist by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Monday.
Holmqvist, a first-round pick by Anaheim in 1997, appeared in two games with Anaheim this season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder spent the past four seasons with TPS Turku of the Finnish League, posting 40 goals and 46 assists in 212 games.
Holmqvist is expected to be available to play Thursday when the Ducks complete a three-game road trip in Milwaukee.
