IceCats Defenseman Recalled

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the St. Louis Blues have recalled defenseman Mike Stuart from the IceCats.

Stuart participated in 41 games with the IceCats last year and 19 with the club's ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen. His 2002-2003 IceCats totals reflect one goal and five assists: 41(1/5/6). He notched his first career AHL goal in Manchester on March 28th. While with the Rivermen, the former Colorado College blueliner registered two goals and seven assists in 19 games: 19(2/7/9). Stuart was named the IceCats 2002-2003 Seven Hills 7th Player of the Year. An October 7th, 2002 free agent signing by St. Louis, Mike has skated in five games with Worcester this season, recording no points and two penalty minutes: 5(0/0/0)2.

The IceCats are home to face the Springfield Falcons on Friday, October 24th and Portland on Saturday the 25th. Centrum Centre game times are 7:05 PM.
