The Wolves broke open a 1-1 tie with three unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Utah Grizzlies, 4-1, for the second consecutive game at The "E" Center ... Left wing STEVE MALTAIS and right wing BRAD TAPPER each posted power-play goals for Chicago ... Left wings ZDENEK BLATNY and KARL STEWART also scored for the Wolves

After falling behind, 2-0, the Wolves registered three unanswered goals to topple the Utah Grizzlies, 3-2, in overtime at The "E" Center ... Left wing SIMON GAMACHE and defenseman KURTIS FOSTER each posted a goal and an assist in the matchup ... Goaltender KARI LEHTONEN recorded 41 saves in the contest
Thu., Oct. 16 (at) Chicago 4, Manitoba 3 (OT)
After squandering a two-goal lead, the Wolves defeated the Manitoba Moose, 4-3, in overtime at the Allstate Arena ... Left wing SIMON GAMACHE tallied two goals for Chicago, while defenseman KURTIS FOSTER posted two assists ... Netminder FREDERIC CASSIVI recorded 23 saves in his first win of the year

WOLF TRACKS --The Wolves are tied for second in the Western Conference with seven points after earning at least one point in each of their first three games (3-0-0-1).
--Chicago reached overtime in each of its first three games this season (2-0-0-1), the first time in franchise history the team played three straight OT games to start the year.
--The Wolves share fourth in the AHL with six power-play goals this year; Chicago has tallied at least one man-advantage marker in each game.
--Chicago is tied for fifth in the league with an average of 3.25 goals per game; the Wolves have posted at least three goals in three of their four games this season, which includes all three last week.
THREE'S COMPANY
The Wolves have recorded seven of their 11 goals this year in the third period, fourth-most in the league in that frame; overall, Chicago has notched two goals in the first period, two in the second and seven in the third.
NOTABLE
Wolves right wing BRAD TAPPER will attend the annual Uhlich Children's Alternative Network All-Star Celebration on Thu., Oct. 23, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The network raises money to support abused, neglected and disadvantaged children and teens.
