Leading Rookie Defenseman Re-Signs with Reign

Ontario, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, 2011-12 Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Chris Huxley.

Huxley, 25, was the leading defenseman for the Reign last season recording 35 points (6g, 29a) in 69 games. The Weymouth, MA native not only led Reign defenseman, he also led all rookies for the team. Huxley ranked fourth in the league in overall defense scoring.

Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-11, 202-pound blue liner played with the Harvard University hockey program, co-captaining in his final year. Throughout a four year collegiate career, Huxley appeared in 119 games and recorded 42 points (7g, 35a).
