Giving up two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning the Calgary Vipers (22-16) were defeated by the Strong Warriors of Maui (14-19) 6-5 at Iron Maehara Stadium in Maui, Hawaii. Trailing 4-0 the Vipers rallied to take a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning before giving up two runs to lose in walkoff fashion.
This nine-game in eight-day series in Maui to take on the Strong Warriors continues on Tuesday July 5th at 10:35.
The Vipers will return home to Calgary and Foothills Stadium in Tuesday July 12th at 6:30 to take on the Edmonton Capitals.
The Calgary Vipers will be hosting three Women's Pro Fastpitch games between the USAA Pride and the Tennessee Diamonds August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 6:30 at Foothills Stadium. Tickets are $16 for the Lower Bowl and $12 for the Upper Bowl. Three game packages are also available for $45 and $33. In addition there will be two skill clinics August 2nd and 4th from 10am - 12pm. Cost is $99 for a Clinic and Lunch or $120 for the Clinic, Lunch and two Lower Bowl tickets. There will also be a Lunch Banquet August 3rd including an autograph session with both teams and a lower bowl ticket to the August 3rd game for $49.95 with keynote speaker Cheri Kempf, the Commissioner of the NPF and an ESPN analyst.
