
Lawrence-Dumont Stadium to Host Burger Battle

WICHITA, KS (August 12, 2015) - The Wichita Wingnuts are prepared to battle the Laredo Lemurs on the field at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on the night of Saturday, August 22nd. In addition to that battle, the stadium will also host the ICT Burger Battle: A Throwdown to Benefit KETCH.
Restaurants from all over Wichita will compete at the event to find out who has the best burger in the city. Some of the participants include: Fizz Burgers and Bottles; Five Guys Burger and Fries; MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes; Emerson Biggins; Harvest Kitchen & Bar; Eurest Dining Services; Burn Out Bar and Grill; and Intrust Bank Arena. The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue up until 6:00 p.m. when the gates open for the 7:05 p.m. Wingnuts game.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids ages 3-12. The ticket includes tasty samples from some of Wichita's best restaurants, sides, desserts, drinks, and admittance into the Wingnuts game. There will also be special VIP tickets available for $40 until August 20. These tickets earn individuals entry to the event at 2:30 p.m., giving them time to beat the rush and be the first to sample their favorite burgers without waiting in line. VIP ticket-holders will also act as judges in the competition, receive five raffle tickets, and a can attend a special Meet and Greet session with Wichita Wingnuts players.

All proceeds from ICT Burger Battle will go directly to the programs and services KETCH provides to nearly 500 adults with developmental & intellectual disabilities each year. KETCH has been an established non-profit organization in the community for over 50 years, serving well over 30,000 individuals since its beginning in 1964. Today, they still maintain their commitment to help people with disabilities live and work in the community.
