The Nashville Sounds scored six runs after the sixth inning Thursday and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 7-5. Both games of the series have featured a late-game, four-run comeback by the victorious team. The Chihuahuas and Sounds have split the first two games of the series.

Brett Nicholas went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, his 14th home run of the season, tying Franmil Reyes for the Chihuahuas team lead. San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in his first injury rehab game with El Paso, while fellow Padres outfielder Franchy Cordero was 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in his injury rehab game.

El Paso starter Brett Kennedy pitched five innings, allowing only one run in five innings in his first start since May 8. Kennedy was activated from the DL earlier in the day. Allen Craig went 0-for-2 with two walks, ending his nine-game hitting streak.
