
Dodgers Roll to 6-1 Win to Take Series with Bees

Oklahoma City - Manny Bañuelos pitched six shutout innings as the Oklahoma City Dodgers built a 6-0 lead through eight innings on the way to a 6-1 win against the Salt Lake Bees Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Five Dodgers finished with multi-hit nights as Oklahoma City won the series finale to take the three-game series against the Bees, 2-1.
Bañuelos (7-3) earned the win, holding the Bees to one hit through six innings, allowing three walks with six strikeouts in front of a sellout crowd of 10,036.
The Dodgers (39-24) entered Friday's game with the best home winning percentage in the Minors and improved to 25-7 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark this season.
Oklahoma City took the game's first lead in the third inning when Henry Ramos belted a RBI triple to right field to bring home Andrew Toles for a 1-0 Dodgers lead.
Back-to-back doubles by Kyle Garlick and Edwin RÃos boosted the Dodgers' lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning. Rob Segedin's sacrifice fly later in the inning pushed the Dodgers' advantage to 3-0.
The Dodgers added to their lead in the seventh inning. Ramos doubled with two outs, then scored on a RBI single by Alex Verdugo for a 4-0 Dodgers advantage. Verdugo has now hit safely in 10 straight games.
Oklahoma City tacked on two more runs in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Jake Peter and a RBI triple by Rocky Gale for a 6-0 lead.
The Bees (39-29) broke through the shutout in the ninth inning. Sherman Johnson led off with a single and scored on a two-out RBI double by pinch-hitter Ben Revere to cut Oklahoma City's lead to 6-1.
The Dodgers finished with six extra-base hits and Ramos and Gale each doubled and tripled. Five of Ramos' last six hits have now gone for extra bases.
Bees starting pitcher Ivan Pineyro (2-5) was charged with the loss, allowing three runs and seven hits over 4.1 innings with one walk and five strikeouts.
Oklahoma City outhit the Bees, 13-6, and the Dodgers pitching staff racked up 10 strikeouts for the team's 26th double-digit strikeout game of the season.
The Dodgers continue their homestand and open a four-game series against the Las Vegas 51s at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Tomorrow is Marvel Super Hero Night and fans who come out to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark can meet Iron Man and Thor during the game. Additionally, the first 500 kids 12 and under through the gates will receive an OKC Dodgers cape.
