From the Notes

16 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his hitting streak to 16 games last night with a single in the fifth inning. He's hitting .382 (26-for-68) with 13 runs, 8 RBI, 3 doubles, 2 home runs and 5 walks during the streak that is the second-longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. Martini's streak is tied for the 10th-longest (Rich Thompson - '04, Adam Hyzdu - '01) by a Sounds player in the PCL era. Logan Schafer ('14), Brooks Conrad ('12), Taylor Green ('11) and Trent Durrington ('05) each had a 17-game hitting streak for the Sounds.

47 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 47 games last night with a single in the fifth inning. He's hitting .341 (57-for-167) with 32 runs, 24 RBI, 8 doubles, 5 home runs and 33 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. Martini just surpassed Fresno's Tyler White who had a 45-game on-base streak from April 5-May 24. The 47-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era.

Ramón's Red-Hot June: Outfielder Ramón Laureano continues to swing a hot bat in the month of June with another multi-hit game last night. In 12 games in the month, he's hitting .370 (17-for-46) with 8 RBI, 7 runs, 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 7 walks. He's slugging .587 and has an OPS of 1.040.

Here's a Quarter: By hitting .318 (35-for-110) over the last three games, the Sounds are up to a .250 team batting average for the first time since May 18. Wtih 12 hits in an 8-4 win at Oklahoma City on the 18th of May, the Sounds were at .251 as a team. The .250 average is still 16th in the league, but just percentage points behind Tacoma at .251.

Four Score: The four-run deficit the Sounds erased last night was tied for the largest come-from-behind win this season. The other four-run comeback came on April 16 against Omaha when the Storm Chasers led 4-0 only to see the Sounds come back to win, 5-4.

Touch 'Em All: Nick Martini's eighth-inning home run last night was only the eighth go-ahead homer hit by the Sounds this year (Martini's second). It was also only the third three-run homer hit by Nashville. 42 of Nashville's 46 home runs have been solo or two-run shots.
