Lexington, KY: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 8-5 on Saturday night to the Lexington Legends.

The GreenJackets got down early in the ballgame as the Legends took at 3-0 lead after three innings. In the fourth inning, Shane Matheny singled to right field to score Ryan Kirby to cut the lead to 3-1. After the Legends put up another run in the fifth inning, the GreenJackets responded with two runs in the top of the sixth inning. With the score 4-3, the GreenJackets had the momentum and were close to tying the game. Then in the seventh and eighth inning, the Legends put up two runs in both innings. This gave them the 8-3 advantage, which seemed at the time, to be the end of the GreenJackets.

Then the bats got going for Augusta in the top of the ninth inning. With Parra on at first with no outs, Nick Hill hit his first home run as a GreenJacket to cut the lead to 8-5. The GreenJackets would then go on to load the bases with two outs in the inning. With the tying run on first base, Shane Matheny stepped up to the plate. After a long at bat, he eventually flied out to left field to end the ballgame.
