Delmarva Shorebirds News Release

CHARLESTON, SC - Saturday night's Delmarva Shorebirds-Charleston RiverDogs game at Joe Riley Park was suspended in the bottom of the second inning due to a thunderstorm. The game will resume on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m., after which the two teams will play one seven-inning game to complete the scheduled series.

When the game resumes, the Shorebirds hold a 1-0 lead. Seamus Curran doubled and got to third on an error in the top of the second, and Ryan Ripken brought him home on a sac fly. After Jean Carrillo made the final out of the half-frame, the umpires called for the tarp and sent both teams to the clubhouses. The storm hit about 15 minutes later.

The Shorebirds and RiverDogs will each turn to pitchers two be determined for the resumption. Scheduled starters for Sunday's regularly-scheduled game are Delmarva's DL Hall (0-3, 3.38) and Charleston's Dalton Lehnen (3-3, 2.28). Pregame coverage on Fox Sports 960 AM and the MiLB First Pitch app begins at 2:50 with Will DeBoer on the call.
