LAS VEGAS (JUNE 17)- The Las Vegas 51s completed a three game sweep over the Bees with a 5-1 win over the Salt Lake on Wednesday afternoon. The game was scoreless going into the bottom of the sixth when Las Vegas opened the inning with three consecutive extra base hits off of Salt Lake starter Tyler DeLoach with all three coming around to score. The 51s would add two more in the eighth on a home run by Anthony Recker.

Grant Green spoiled Las Vegas' bid for a shutout with a two out RBI single in the ninth inning. DeLoach (1-3) took the loss, as he allowed three runs on six hits in five and one-third innings with five strikeouts and one walk. Gary Brown led the Bees with two hits, as Salt Lake suffers its fourth straight loss. The game began with a temperature of 101 degrees and it was 106 at game's end.
