
Las Vegas Slows Down RoadRunners 3-1

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Phoenix RoadRunners 3-1 on Friday night in front of 3,965 fans at the Orleans Arena. Right wing Matt Beaudoin scored two third-period goals to lead the way. Center Chris Neiszner added a goal and an assist in the team's second straight win. Goalie John DeCaro made 22 saves for his eighth win of the year. Las Vegas will host Alaska at 7:30 PM this Saturday night at the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers broke a scoreless tie just 4:50 into the second period with a shorthanded goal by Chris Neiszner. Center Adam Miller set up Neiszner's ninth goal of the season and helped give Las Vegas a 1-0 lead.
In the third period, Phoenix center Kimbi Daniels scored just 3:13 into the final frame. Daniels ninth goal of the year tied the game 1-1 and came on the power play. Las Vegas charged back to claim a 2-1 lead at 7:34 with a power-play goal by Matt Beaudoin. Neiszner set up Beaudoin's eighth goal of the season for the one-goal lead. The Wrangler right winger tallied his ninth goal of the season with an empty-net goal at 18:54 for the 3-1 final.
The Wranglers will host Alaska at 7:30 PM on Saturday and at 2:05 pm this Sunday at the Orleans Arena.
