Larks Can't Stop Rox, Lose Tight 6-4 Game
June 25, 2021 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Bismarck Larks News Release
The Larks dropped their second straight game against the St. Cloud Rox 6-4 in a game presented by Fetzer Electric on Friday night.
Rox starter Bryce Robison was stellar as the Rox continued their good streak of quality starting pitching. Robison went five innings allowing just two earned runs while striking out five. St. Cloud scored six runs in the fifth and that is all they would need in terms of offense. The Rox have now won ten games in a row.
Even in the tough loss, the Larks continued to flash the leather, turning two double plays. Kam Willman made the Fetzer Electric Play of the Game when he leaped up to make a great catch robbing Rox' first baseman Caleb Ricketts of a hit in the second inning.
In an unsurprising note, the Larks bullpen arms allowed no runs in the 4.2 innings they worked. Ryan Bourassa continued to dominate. The righty allowed no baserunners and retired all eight he faced in order while recording six strikeouts. His fastball was its usual self, hitting 92 on the gun for the Metro-Area Ambulance Fastest Pitch.
The Larks look to bounce back on the road. They begin a six-game road trip visiting three different cities. The games are available to listen to live on mixlr.com/larksbaseball.
