Laredo Takes Game 2, 3-0

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The AirHogs were shut out for the second straight evening by the Laredo Lemurs Tuesday, falling by a final of 3-0. Carlos Misell started for the AirHogs and surrendered 3 runs on 6 hits in his longest outing of the year (7 innings). The Lemurs got to Misell with a 2-RBI base hit by Alvaro Rondon in the 3rd and on an RBI single by Cesar Valera in the 5th. Right fielder Brennen Metzger scored 2 of the 3 runs in the contest.

The AirHogs bats were limited by lefty Zack Dodson, who struck out 4 while surrendering just 1 hit in 6 innings. The win was the first in his American Association career for Dodson. Luis Pollorena pitched a scoreless 8th, and the Jeff Inman notched his 11th save by throwing a scoreless 9th.

Juan Sanchez and Brian Bistagne notched the hits for the AirHogs. Sanchez singled in the 1st, and Bistagne doubled in the 7th to reach for a 2nd time after walking in the 2nd and stealing his 14th base of the season. The 2nd baseman was stranded in scoring position twice.

The AirHogs (27-48) and the Lemurs (42-33) meet again tomorrow at 7:05. LHP Derek Callahan is expected to start for the AirHogs.
