
Landry joins Express

Round Rock Express News Release
The Houston Astros have signed outfielder Jacques Landry and assigned him to the Round Rock Express. Landry takes the roster spot vacated by Mike Hill, who was put on the disabled list on June 9.
Landry, who played at Rice, was playing for Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners before being released on June 4. He was hitting .248 with seven home runs and 24 RBIs in 44 games for the Rainiers.
Previously, Landry spent time with the Tigers and A's. He spent all of 2000 and 2001 and part of 2003 with Midland and was named a Texas League All-Star in 2001 after hitting 36 home runs and driving in 95 runs. He is in his eighth professional season.
