Omaha Lancers News Release

KEARNEY, NE - The Omaha Lancers shutout the Tri-City Storm on Wednesday night by a final score of 1-0.

The game did not see it's the first goal until 13:35 in the third period when Brian Silver snapped the puck in past Daniel Allin. The Lancers dug the puck out of their offensive zone corner board with Ryan Lautenbach who played it over to Logan Will. Will dropped the puck back below the goal line to Lautenbach who then tossed it to Silver atop of the crease. The Lancers would then find themselves on the penalty kill for a 5 minute major on Chase Bradley for Head Contact. The Storm pulled Allin at the 58:14 mark in the third. With the extra attacker on the ice, Tri-City was up two players on a 6-on-4. The Lancers killed off the penalty, and Jakub Dobes stood tall in the net stopping the Storm threats to end up shutting them out for a 1-0 win. Dobes earned his first USHL shutout in the win, stopping all 35 shots that came his way. The Lancers improve to 8-7-3-0 with 19 points and are now 5th place in the USHL Western Conference.

The Lancers return to the ice on Saturday, November 30th to face the Des Moines Buccaneers for the first time this season. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM. All the action can be heard on KOIL News Talk 1290 and HockeyTV.
