Lancers Amrboz Selected to 2010 U.S. Junior Select Team

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that forward Seth Ambroz has been selected to the 2010 U.S. Junior Select team that will compete at the World Junior A Challenge November 8-14 in Penticton, British Columbia. Team USA is the two-time defending champion (2008, 2009) at the tournament.

All 22 of the players on the roster currently play in the USHL, the nation's only Tier 1 Junior Hockey League.

Ambroz, along with Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Cason Hohmann and Fargo Force defenseman Brian Cooper, competed for the 2010 U.S. Under-18 Select Team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in Slovakia and the Czech Republic this past August.

A native of New Prague, Minnesota, Ambroz has one goal and one assist through six games this season. He also currently leads all Lancers with 13 penalty minutes (PIM) and 26 shots on goal. In 122 career games in Omaha, Ambroz has registered 37 goals, 45 assists and 82 points to go along with 219 PIM. Ambroz is committed to the University of Minnesota for the Fall of 2011.

Omaha (3-3, 6 Pts.) returns to action this coming Friday evening when the Lancers welcome the Fargo Force to the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Doors open at 6 PM and the opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Tickets are available at the Qwest Center Box Office Monday - Friday 10 AM - 6 PM, at the Omaha Civic Auditorium Box Office Friday beginning at 10 AM and through Ticketmaster.
