
Lance Allred Returns To Idaho Stampede

BOISE, Idaho, January 14, 2010 - Your Idaho Stampede announced today they have acquired former Weber State University center Lance Allred.
Allred, 6-11, was an integral member of the Idaho Stampede for the past three seasons. During the 2008-09 season he played in 45 games with 45 starts for the Stampede. He averaged 15.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
During the 2007-08 season Allred appeared 38 games with the Idaho Stampede averaging 16.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He was named to the 2008 NBA Development League's All-Star team and was also the winner of the NBA D-League's Dream Factory inaugural game of H.O.R.S.E. On March 13, 2008, the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers signed Allred to a ten-day contract making him the first legally deaf player in NBA history.
Allred began his collegiate career at the University of Utah. After two seasons he transferred to Weber State University averaging 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in his junior season. During his playing time as a senior, Allred led the team with 17.7 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. He ranked third in the nation in rebounding, trailing to Paul Millsap and Andrew Bogut and was named to the First Team All-Big Sky Conference. Allred will once again wear jersey #41 and will join the Stampede this Friday and Saturday night as Idaho takes on the Reno Bighorns in Boise for a two game series. Tipoff is at 7:00 pm.
