New York, N.Y. (January 14, 2010)-VERSUS will air its first NBA Development League game on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 11 p.m. ET, with the Sioux Falls Skyforce hosting the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Throughout 2010 VERSUS will air 10 regular season and six playoff games from the NBA's official minor league. All NBA D-League action on VERSUS will be presented in HD.
The Mad Ants (8-12) and Skyforce (10-10) will face off for the third time this season in a game that features two of the league's top scorers in Sioux Falls' Reggie Williams (3rd in the league with 25.4 points per game) and Fort Wayne's Ron Howard (6th in the league with 22.4 points per game) battling for Eastern Conference positioning. The teams split their first two meetings this season.
VERSUS' NBA D-League coverage will provide fans with even more access to the players, including micing players and coaches during the game, in game interviews, airing locker room and pre-game, halftime and post-game speeches, and increased camera angles.
