LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Lakewood scored four runs in the fifth to erase a 3-0 deficit en route to a 6-3 triumph over the Charleston RiverDogs in South Atlantic League action at FirstEnergy Park Tuesday evening.

The BlueClaws end a three-game losing streak in improving to 14-12, while the RiverDogs fall to 11-15.

Charleston scored three times in the third for a 3-0 lead against Jarred Cosart, highlighted by a RBI double from Zoilo Almonte, a RBI fielder's choice by Rob Lyerly and DeAngelo Mack's infield RBI single.

Cosart, who was just activated from the DL, lasted just 4.0 innings allowing three runs on three hits with two walks and three punchouts.

Lakewood rallied for a 4-3 lead in the fifth against Shaeffer Hall, with Domingo Santana starting the festivities via RBI double for 3-1 score. With two outs in the frame, the BlueClaws collected three straight RBI knocks - RBI singles from Jeremy Barnes and Leandro Castro and a RBI double from Anthony Hewitt to acquire the lead.

After Hall allowed a pair of one-out hits in the sixth, he was removed for reliever Dickson Marquez. Lakewood executed a double steal on the first pitch, which was followed by a sacrifice fly from Jiwan James for a 5-3 lead, but Domingo Santana also scored on the play due to an errant relay throwing increasing the margin to 6-3.

Hall (1-1) took his first professional loss, surrendering six runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings of work. Colby Shreve (2-0) earned the win for Lakewood in 5.0 scoreless innings of two-hit ball while walking one and fanning one. Shreve retired 10 consecutive batters between the sixth and ninth innings before Kelvin Castro's one-out single.

The third game of this four-game tilt is set for a special 11 a.m. start time on Wednesday. Graham Stoneburner (0-3, 2.61 ERA) toes the slab for the RiverDogs, while Lakewood sends southpaw Nick Hernandez (2-0, 2.12 ERA) to the hill. Both pitchers have been named SAL Pitcher of the Week at different points this season.
