Vermont Lake Monsters News Release
BURLINGTON, VT - Make-A-Wish Vermont and the Vermont Lake Monsters are teaming up for Make-A-Wish Family Night sponsored by Precyse at historic Centennial Field in Burlington on Monday, July 13th as the Lake Monsters take on the West Virginia Black Bears. For every ticket purchased in advance, the Lake Monsters will generously donate $2.50 to help grant wishes to Vermont children with life-threatening medical conditions. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, July 10, 2015. To purchase tickets please visit vermont.wish.org.
"At Precyse, we are committed to connecting with our colleagues and the community. We are proud to be a sponsor of the ballpark event," said Chris Powell, CEO, Precyse. "I am looking forward to attending with our colleagues and our families. It's going to be a fun night and a great way to support the Make-A-Wish foundation here in Vermont."The Lake Monsters and beloved mascot CHAMP have long supported Vermont Wish Kids and families. Most recently, CHAMP helped host a big "wish reveal" when 12-year-old Milton resident Zack found out his wish to meet Tom Brady was coming true. CHAMP was the first one to share the special news at a surprise party at the Upper Deck Pub in South Burlington.
"There are a lot of things in this industry and game that we take for granted, that can make a positive impact on someone's life. We set out with the goal in mind of putting a well-deserved smile on each and every Make-A-Wish kid's face. It is an event that we hope will create lifelong memories for not only the kids, but their entire family," said Nate Cloutier, Vermont Lake Monsters Executive Director of Sales & Marketing.
In addition to donating $2.50 of each ticket purchased in advance, the Vermont Lake Monsters have special plans for the July 13th game. Wish Kids and their families have been invited to attend the July 13th game for free, and Wish Kids will receive their very own ballpark spending money, a commemorative event t-shirt, a baseball to get autographs from CHAMP and the players, and the opportunity to join the Vermont Lake Monsters on the field for the national anthem!
