
LAFC Hosts Philadelphia Union on Saturday, May 7, at Banc of California Stadium

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) looks to remain unbeaten at home in 2022 as they host the Philadelphia Union at Banc of California Stadium on Saturday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m. PT presented by Pepsi. (TV: MY KCOP 13 / ESTRELLA TV 62.2; Radio: 710 AM ESPN/ESPN 710 app and 980 AM La Mera La Mera)
Saturday's contest is the first meeting between LAFC and Philadelphia since March 8, 2020, a 3-3 tie in L.A. that is widely considered one of the top regular season matches in MLS history. LAFC and Philadelphia enter tomorrow's match leading their conferences, as LAFC is first in the West with 22 points and Philadelphia is tops in the East with 18 points.
NEWS & NOTES
Carlos Vela has registered 99 combined goals (61) and assists (38) in 95 career MLS regular season games since 2018.
If Vela scores or assists on Saturday vs. Philadelphia, he will be one of the fastest three players in MLS history to reach 100 combined regular season goals and assists.
LAFC has not allowed a goal in the second half of a game this season.
LAFC substitutes have come on to score a league-high eight goals in 2022.
LAFC's 2-0 win over Minnesota United on May 1 at Banc of California Stadium marked the Club's 30th straight game where the Black & Gold score at home.
