The match will kick off at 8PM CT, and will mark the third time ATXFC has hosted Liga MX opposition, following matches against Tigres UANL on July 12, 2021 and Atlas FC on February 16, 2022.

Pachuca finished first in the 2022 Liga MX Clausura standings and is one of the most successful clubs in Mexico. The club has won six (6) Liga MX titles, five (5) Concacaf titles, and one (1) Copa Sudamericana. Pachuca finished third at the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup.
While the Verde & Black fell to Tigres in 2021, Austin FC earned a 1-1 draw vs. Atlas FC thanks to a Sebastián Driussi penalty kick in the 85th minute.
"The 2022 regular season schedule provided a unique opportunity in the mid-June window to provide a home match against a high-caliber opponent, while providing increased value for our Season Ticket Members and fans," said Austin FC President Andy Loughnane.
