Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today that the Club has acquired $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) in exchange for Goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega. LAFC could also receive an additional $50,000 if certain performance-based incentives are met by Sisniega.
"Pablo was an important part of our Club on and off the field," said LAFC Co-President and GM John Thorrington. "We are thankful for his commitment to the team and the organization, and we wish him good luck with Charlotte."
Sisniega, 26, joined LAFC on Feb. 18, 2019 ahead of the Club's second MLS season from Spanish side Real Sociedad B. Sisniega made his LAFC debut during the 1-0 win over Minnesota United on Sep. 9, 2019. Overall, Sisniega started and made 28 MLS regular season appearances, registering five clean sheets in a total of 2,520 minutes played.
General Allocation Money (GAM) is money that is available to a club in addition to its salary budget. Each MLS Club received an annual allotment of GAM, funds strategically provided by the league to the teams to add or retain players that will make an immediate impact on the field.
