
LA Galaxy Acquire Third-Round Pick in 2022 MLS SuperDraft from Houston Dynamo FC in Exchange for Defender Daniel Steres

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has acquired Houston Dynamo FC's natural third-round pick (60th overall) in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for defender Daniel Steres. Additionally, the Galaxy will retain a portion of Steres' salary budget charge in 2022.
"Daniel was one of the first signings from LA Galaxy II to the first team and had a successful career with the Galaxy, showcasing the talent within our organization," said LA Galaxy President Chris Klein. "We'd like to thank Daniel for his commitment and contributions to our club and wish him the best in the next step of his career."
Signed from LA Galaxy II on Dec. 17, 2015, Steres registered eight goals and four assists in 140 career MLS regular-season appearances (127 starts) for the Galaxy. Steres ranks 14th all-time in regular-season appearances (140) for the Galaxy. Additionally, Steres made five career postseason appearances (5 starts) for LA.
The Burbank, Calif., native signed for LA Galaxy II in 2014, being named to the 2014 USL All-League Second Team and claiming LA Galaxy II Defender of the Year honors in 2014 and 2015. Notably, Steres helped Los Dos claim the 2015 USL Western Conference Championship.
