Ladies Night Tonight At The BOK Center

Champs Come Calling: The Tulsa Oilers host the defending Ray Miron President Cup Champions Texas Brahmas tonight.

Records: Oilers are 11-3-1 with 23 points in first place in the North Conference.

Texas is 7-8-2 for 16 points in fifth place in the South Conference.

Season Series: This is the second of six meetings between these two teams, and the first of only two games here at the BOK Center between them. Texas won the first meeting 5-3. The Brahmas held a 4-0 lead before the Oilers had a strong third period rally, only to give up a power play goal in the final minute.

Recent Action: The Oilers dropped a 5-4 shootout loss to Missouri last night, ending the Oilers seven game winning streak, the team's longest since 2002 and second longest in franchise history. Texas is coming off a 5-3 loss to Odessa on Wednesday night.

Still Streaking: Although the Oilers saw their winning streak end last night, a couple of players kept their scoring streaks in tact. Rob Hisey scored a shorthanded goal giving him points in 13 straight games with nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points in the streak. He leads the league in scoring with 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points. Hisey has points in 14 of the Oilers 15 games this season. Right winger Mike Beausoleil scored his fifth goal of the season last night, giving him a five game point scoring streak since returning from injured reserve. He has five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 11 games this season.

Dandy Davis: Center Aaron Davis had a goal and two assists last night giving him five points in the last two games. Davis is now averaging better than a point a game with six goals and 10 assists for 16 point in 15 games.

One Two Punch: T. J. Caig had two assists moving him into second place behind Hisey in the CHL scoring race. Caig has 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points in 15 games.

Top Stopper: While the Oilers have the top two scorers in the CHL, Texas boasts the goaltender with the best goals against average. Rookie Joe Palmer has a 2.27 goals against average and is second in the league with a.922 save percentage.

Next Up: The same two teams will meet on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 in Texas.
