Kvapil reassigned to Johnstown Chiefs

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Marek Kvapil has been re-assigned to their ECHL affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs.

Kvapil has appeared in 69 games with the Falcons this year posting 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points. The 5-foot-11, 182-pound native of Ilava, Slovakia is in his second season of professional hockey after collecting 18 goals and 27 assists for 45 points in 79 games with Springfield during the 2005-06 campaign. Kvapil was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round (163rd overall) in the 2005 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
